WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES FOR FACE TO FACE COUNSELLING: GENERAL
COUNSELLING WITH ADDICTION, COUPLES COUNSELLING AND GENERAL
COUNSELLING.
FOR GENERAL COUNSELLING
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide in person counselling in a supportive, ethical and
professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.
* Maintain clear, clinical and confidential client records.
* Provide short-term clinical interventions such as CBT, and brief
solution-focused techniques.
* Demonstrate excellent listening, communication, decision-making
and assessment skills.
* Demonstrate great warmth and the ability to empathise.
* Ability to work with clients from a range of backgrounds and with
a variety of mental health symptoms.
* Develop clear and concise treatment plans for clients with various
session models.
* Always keep up to date with best practice and procedures in line
with the Code of Ethics of the accreditation body of which you are a
member.
* Being enthusiastic about providing support to clients.
* Work within the ethos and philosophy of Helplink Mental Health and
follow the organisations policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
* Applicants must hold a minimum of a BA (Hons)(Level 8) Degree in
Counselling, Psychotherapy or related subject.
* Must be accredited or working towards accreditation with a
recognised body (IACP, APCP etc.)
* Previous counselling/psychotherapy experience.
* Experience in brief solution focused counselling.
* Must possess and maintain professional indemnity insurance and all
other appropriate insurances.
* Must be undergoing regular personal therapy and supervision.
* Being I.T. proficient is a significant benefit.
ADDICTION COUNSELLING REQUIREMENTS
As above and also:
* Applicants must hold a minimum of a BA (Hons)(Level 8) Degree in
Counselling, Psychotherapy or related subject - ideally Addiction
Counselling
* Must be accredited or working towards accreditation with a
recognised body (ACI, IACP, APCP.)
* Specialist training/Experience in the area of Addiction is
required.
COUPLES COUNSELLING REQUIREMENTS
As above and also:
* Applicants must hold a minimum of a BA (Hons)(Level 8) Degree in
Counselling, Psychotherapy or related subject. Further qualifications
in Couples Counselling is required.
* Must be accredited or working towards accreditation with a
recognised body (IACP, APCP etc.)
* Previous couples counselling/psychotherapy experience - minimum
one year.
